Topps Inception Football drops November 6, and the back fifty cards are the reason

Topps Inception Football lands November 6, and if you only care about one thing in it, it's the back fifty. The set runs 200 cards: 150 base (#1–150), then a 50-card rookie class from #151 to #200 that opens with Fernando Mendoza as card #151, Raiders silver and black and all.

Here's why that structure matters. Inception has never been a base-card product. It's a hit box with a nice-looking checklist stapled to the front. The rookie run does the heavy lifting: Mendoza, Ty Simpson (#152), Jeremiyah Love (#158), Carnell Tate (#165), Jordyn Tyson (#166), Caleb Downs (#192). That's a real class, and the base rookies are the cards you'll still be able to afford when the autographs are gone.

What to chase

New this year are the Gold Electricity and Hot Pink parallels, joining the returning rainbow (Orange, Alpha, Blue, Red, Gold, Black). Checklist Insider has Gold Electricity numbered to 50, which makes a Mendoza one the card I'd stop scrolling for. On the insert side, Launch and the Rookie Short Prints lead the way, and the autograph lineup is Rookie Autographs, Dual Rookie Autographs, Rookie Jumbo Relic autos, and the 1/1 Inception Silver Signings.

There's also a First Day Issue box. Collectosk lists it with a numbered patch autograph and two FDI-exclusive parallels. I'll flag that one as retailer-reported, not confirmed by Topps.

What I couldn't pin down: final pack odds and full print runs for every parallel. Topps hadn't published odds in anything I could verify, so I'm not guessing. The November 6 date comes from Topps' own product page, though the page looks stale, so double-check before you plan a Friday around it.

Where CardStrike stands

Straight talk: we don't have a single Inception card in stock yet, because the set isn't out. When I rip some, the plan doesn't change. Whatever pays for the next box gets listed, and the Mendoza and any short-print parallels are going in my personal pile before they're going anywhere near a listing.

The full 200-card list, every number and team, is already up. Until the boxes hit, the Topps Holiday and Bowman checklists are live too, and the shop has singles, lots, and sealed product to scratch the itch.
